PODCAST CATEGORY: Executive Protection Security

A multimillion-dollar home. A prominent CEO. Armed intruders. Four family members violently attacked.

On October 29, 2026, a terrifying home invasion unfolded in Toronto’s prestigious Bridle Path neighbourhood.

According to police reports, three masked suspects armed with handguns and a hammer forced their way into a residence, demanding valuables and violently attacking four members of the family of David Morton, CEO of MAC Group.

Three family members were shot, and all four were reportedly assaulted with a hammer.

Police have since identified a 23-year-old suspect in connection with the investigation, with two additional suspects still being sought.

But this raises a much bigger question: Are we confusing having security with actually being protected?

In this episode of Sentinel Mindset | What Would You Do?, we examine this disturbing incident through the lens of professional security, executive protection and residential threat management.

We explore:

Why residential security alone may not be enough for high-profile executives.

The difference between protecting a property and protecting the people inside it.

Why personal threat assessments are essential for CEOs, business leaders and their families.

What happens when armed intruders breach a secured residence?

Why executive protection should extend beyond the home to business travel, daily routines and public appearances.

Whether corporate organizations should take greater responsibility for the personal safety of senior executives.

The question isn’t simply whether you have security. It’s whether your security strategy is designed to address the threats you actually face.

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on prevention, preparedness and the realities of protecting high-profile individuals.
