PODCAST CATEGORY: Law Enforcement
What does it take to be Police? As two of some of the best in recruiting and finding the talent our Province has to offer, meet Inspector Andrew Cooper, and Constable Danny Marttini – who together sift through the thousands of applicants in search of the special few who are chosen each year to join Peel Regional Police.
What do they look for? Can you prepare yourself today, for a greater chance at making the force tomorrow? Does currently working in an un-related field make you un-relevant?
Good questions.
One thing they shared was you must be prepared to change your life. This job requires your mind, body and soul – everyday. To prepare for a job in policing, you will miss holidays, birthdays, and your bed when there’s a major snow storm. Discipline and dedication are a must.
And how relevant is security to a career in policing? More than you’d think.
Sentinel has a history of developing recruits on a regular basis for success on the police force. People from all across Canada and the world are looking to apply to Sentinel with aspirations of policing because they know how intricate and demanding our developing programs are. We intentionally have designed our development for this purpose, as personal growth our people inevitably brings company growth!
This week we will be hosting a series of videos and interviews with Inspector Andrew Cooper and Constable Danny Marttini that breaks down what is needed to get into policing and what you need to be doing now to become successful. Let us remind you less than 6% of applicants who go to schooling for policing ever make the force. Get your pencils and paper out because class is already in session.
