PODCAST CATEGORY: Law Enforcement
We’ve all heard Brazil is a place of sheer beauty, sunshine, and…soccer fanatics! But it also has a reputation where violent crime occurs all too often.
Meet Bruno. Having served in the military in Brazil, he decided in order to have a brighter future, he would move to Toronto for a better life.
Aside from learning the language and establishing his family in a new country, Bruno faced many challenges along the way which most people would have given up. But not Bruno.
A dedicated and disciplined worker, he stumbled across Sentinel and immediately joined the company, bringing his hardworking and humble attitude to the table. In two short years, he ascended into leadership, started a self-defence school with a fellow Brazilian brother & Sentinel colleague (Armour Protection) and ultimately focused on his next goal…
To be a policeman.
So what happened next you ask?
Meet Peel Regional Police’s newest cadet, having just received a conditional contract by the service.
In today’s podcast, Bruno shares his story, his struggles, and unshakeable desire to bring his best work ethic to the table (a trait he learnt from his father) time and time again.
With his hard skills from the military, coupled with the soft skills of de-escalation and empathy he trained and learned at Sentinel, Bruno believes his time in private security was invaluable, reinforcing what he always believed about policing – it is a profession of helping people.
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Bruno Tomasine.
