Lights, Camera, Action

As we head into the middle of summer, things are starting to feel more… normal.

Concerts are back, events are happening – life seems to be  coming back to a pre-pandemic pace.

While medical professionals and advisors are still cautioning the public on all things covid related, you can tell that the vast majority of the general public is at the point of throwing caution to the wind and embracing life as they knew it.

For us in the Security industry, we have pivoted many times in the past two plus years.

We’ve seen the quiet of the event industry virtually wiped out by the onset of Covid.

We’ve stepped up to assist at grocery stores and banks ‘back in the day’ when social distancing was at its peak and we would line up around the block to be one of the few allowed into a store to do our shopping.

We increased our training, broadened our horizons even more and stepped into health care, where we still work among the front lines assisting our every day heroes of Doctors and nurses.

We’ve seen the wave’s calm down and things start to open up and weddings and events return, along with the normalcy of dining out and being with friends beyond our bubble.

We’ve rode every single wave that this pandemic has thrown at us.

All the highs, and especially, all the lows

We love the security industry and we’ve taken the opportunity a pandemic has given us to increase our knowledge and awareness of all faucets of something we are proud to say is our career.

And through all of this, we have continued to set our sights on one of the biggest events of the year.

What has become more or less the centrepiece of our event calendar if for no other reason than the sheer volume of requests and need for security, has been sorely missed these past two and a half years.

However we are once again setting our sights on the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.

Affectionately known as TIFF.

The lights, the cameras, the glory.

TIFF is a security guards Christmas.

Even our normal consistent posts take on a new meaning during the Christmas of Security Season.

Restaurants are packed, events are everywhere and the crowds are at their peak level.

Hollywood has come to Toronto and we are here for it.

As we spend the next few weeks gearing up for what is typically our busiest time of the year, we are thankful for everyone – staff, clients, family – that have gotten us to where we are today.

Without each and every single one of you – there is no way we would be where we are now.

For this we are eternally grateful.

The road hasn’t been perfect, or easy, but we’ve learned a lot.

Patience, Education, Persistence – Definitely a lot of ‘Pep’ to get us here.

These weeks ahead will be more or less the same as the weeks that have come before.

And yet they will be different.

More meetings, more preparation, more training.

More paving the ground for our team to walk on.

Its an exciting time and the anticipation is real.

If you are looking for a career in security – now is the time.

If you are looking for training to propel yourselves in an industry that provides multiple options for your schedule or surroundings – now is the time.

Never hesitate on your future and never be afraid to reach out or ask questions.

This could be your future, and the future is now.
